Australia and South Pacific: 15 nights in March 2014

This fortnight-long cruise from Papeete to Sydney is a stunner, mixing varied tropical ports with relaxing days at sea. The Ocean Princess stops in French Polynesia, Samoa, and New Zealand before finishing the cruise in Australia's biggest city.

After a night docked in Papeete, the bustling port city which is the capital of Tahiti, the ship leaves for the amazing islands of Moorea and Bora Bora. These two tropical paradises will provide a couple of days of beach and mountain bliss! You will be well looked after on these popular resort islands. After leaving, there are two sea days during which passengers can explore and enjoy the ship and her facilities.

The next stop is in Tonga, in the city of Pago Pago. This is the capital of American Samoa, a pretty town on the water. Visit the Jean P. Haydon museum to learn a bit about Samoan history and culture. After leaving Samoa, the ship loses a day by crossing the international dateline and arrives in New Zealand after 4 days at sea.

The first port of call in New Zealand is the Bay of Islands, a playground for boaties in the north of the North Island. Here you can visit the number of islands or the laidback beach towns around the Bay. The next stop is in the city of Auckland, New Zealand's largest centre. The ship docks right in the CBD so it is easy to explore. Within walking distance is the Sky Tower, the War Memorial Museum and pretty Albert Park, as well as many shops and restaurants on Queen Street and the surrounding areas.

The final New Zealand port is Tauranga, a beachy city on the eastern coast. Mount Maunganui is a bustling and popular neighbourhood near where the ships dock, and is the perfect place to have a coffee by the beach- or climb the 'Mount.'

The cruise disembarks in Sydney, Australia after a magic fortnight!

About the Ocean Princess

The Ocean Princess is one of Princess' small ships, making a voyage aboard her a more intimate affair. This princess spends most of her time around French Polynesia, so she knows it well- you are in good hands! She is also a lot different than some of the cookie-cutter big ships, so you will have a unique cruise experience.

There are plenty of fun organised activities on the Ocean Princess, including art auctions, dance classes, cooking demos, scholarship@sea courses and great ceramics classes. Evening shows mostly take place in the Cabaret Lounge, and there is another lounge, late-night disco and casino for evening partiers. As for dining, there is a top-notch main restaurant and a casual buffet as the options included in the cruise fare, and several specialty option with a cover charge, including Princess's favourite Sterling Steakhouse.
